2013 Luis Pato Vinha Pan, Bairrada, Portugal 375ml Best's Great Western A small amount of SO2Old vine Baga from the Pan vineyard, rooted in Bairradas classic clay limestone. Naturally fermented and long raised in older oak, the 2013 shows the variety at full resolution: lifted red fruit, autumn spice, firm but fine tannins, and that hallmark saltyiron edge. A slow evolving, structure driven vintage thats entering a beautiful tertiary phase while retaining Patos trademark precision and drive.
