Here we have a very nice German WWI M16 Stahlhelm (steel helmet) Helmet shell, which looks to have originally been in "battlefield pickup" condition. There is definitely oxidation on the inside, and signs of oxidation on the outside. It was then repainted on the outside with a very nice replicated "panel camouflage" pattern, very popular during WWI. At some point there were also three holes added near the rim of the
