This a nice example of a WWII Iron Cross First Class 1939, with a Magnetic core, vaulted design, and rare "screw back" attachment. Most have a pin back, but this example has a large disc with a central bolt the screws into the back of the award. There is also a short pin to stabilize it. It is maker marked L 52 (very small) on the back for maker C. F. Zimmermann of Pforzheim, outside of Stuttgart. This iron cross is
