19th Century Clothes Brush with Velvet Covered Ferrule and Lacquered Turned Handle dark horsehair this is just a lovelyThe sliver or silver plated band on this very lovely antique clothes brush shows a series of dates, from 1872 to 1881 patent dates or what I am not certain. I love it for the velvet covered ferrule, the black lacquered turned handle, and those very pale bristles, horsehair I believe, with red stitching. Good for sweeping crumbs off the table or eraser shavings from the studio table, or just hanging on the wall by its loop. 6 1 4" tall not including
