I am in love with it as a thing

and which it appears to me could in fact be put to use as a door knob--either welcoming one into a room or joining one inside like a peeping tom

Lion and Lioness, Wonderful Pair of Folk Carvings, Signed folk art case Not exactly my usual thingThe most excellent and full of life and roar carved and stained lion and lioness who have made it thus far together, so together they must remain. The lioness is signed on the underside, looks like Jane Evans to me. The lion shows one repair to the tail and maybe to the right rear haunch (there is a carved incision, though seems it might be original to the making). Who cares, they are fabulous!
