I discovered to my great delight that the slide was carved out with a big heart inside and one side of the slide beautifully labeled in handwritten ink with notes of the scale

which make these great for travel

H Adair of Spring Grove, PA, who signed a few of them and dated a couple 1905. These are the sorts of drawings that get me excited; I couldn't snatch them up fast enough! And to my eye this yellow house is perfection, feeling about as iconic naive PA folk drawing c. 1900 as it gets. Several more by Adair listed today,
