This poor fellow has lost both forearms and one lower leg too

its weighing 22 pounds did nothing to deter me

and perhaps the shade of a few leafy branches overhead

and perhaps Hovsepian held on to it precisely because that student went on to great art world fame

I've come to recognize standard programs of drawing exercises for grade school students during various decades, and have had one other chair drawing of a similar ilk to this one, which I believe was part of the program during that period, an exercise in perspective I believe. I love it very much as a stand alone drawing one
