I know from the seller that this paper doll dates to the 1860s

and it seems to red pajama one may have once been been blue

should one be so lucky as to have lots of things in the $900 range:)) And hard to beat the great surface and super inky black against creamy white

The text at bottom reads La Charge dun Mari ou le Fardeau du Menage, translating to the burden of the husband or the burden of the householdmeaning, essentially, what a lot of demands this fellow carries on his back, his wife, with two fingers raised behind his head,
