Original British WWII Vickers MMG Crank Mk IA Hand Select:Yes Found in a storage crateOriginal Item: In the Vickers gun, the crank is one of the key operating parts, in that it embodies the Hiram Maxims knuckle concept for locking the breech. Together with the connecting rod, the crank locks the breech closed at the moment of firing. As the internal parts recoil, cams break the knuckle like a hinge, allowing extraction and ejection.
