This very fine rifle is in . 44 40 caliber with a 24" round barrel and full length magazine tube. Features the classic front sight and the iconic "flat top" rear sight. The serial number is 118515A denoting the year of manufacture as 1883. The engraving on top of the barrel is mostly clear: WINCHESTER'S REPEATING ARMS. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U. S. A. KING'S IMPROVEMENT PATENTED MARCH 29. 1866.
