Chinese Writing Box - Black Lacquer butterflies Made from high-quality materialThis gorgeous black lacquer writing box is an antique from the early 1900s. It's scene shows a group of well dressed men, dancing through the forest. It's a lovely landscape of trees, flowers, tall grass and a little bridge across a stream. The box has a brass latch to open. It's in very good condition for it's age and the lacquer looks good on the inside and the latch clicks well. The decorative front looks more subdued than the first picture below
