I'm guessing this wonderfully graphic vintage porcelain enamel plaque was a functional sign at some point

Lovely embossed black cover with gold and silver detail

and the most incredible hand-sewn mending I've ever seen

Confident and mysterious and I can't stop looking at it

Carved Marble Alter with Mirror and Praying Bisque Figures in Niches miniature wooden objects I'm guessing this wonderfully graphicI'm not entirely sure what to make of this one, but I love it a carved marble, tabletop scale sort of shrine or alter, with mirror atop and bisque figures populating its niches, all of them praying. I was told Vermont marble and that the figures were antique Bennington (white ones would be called Parianware I believe) but I'm not sure they could have been made to look older than they are? Whatever the case, a satisfying sort of tabletop architecture
