Jungle Wood Carved Trinket Box Favorites All are decorated by localFor the box lover! This simple little wood box is probably from the San Blas Islands where the indigenous Cuna Indians live on over 350 islands. These folks live quite simply in thatched roofed houses, have trunks for their clothes and boxes like this hold their prized jewelry used for special & ceremonial occasions. This sweet simple box was first painted black, the relief carving of the leaves made the design pop! Typically sold in open air markets
