Original U.S. Civil War M-1840 Light Artillery Saber with Scabbard - European Import Spanish Helmets Leading the way on theOriginal Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent example of a Civil War Model 1840 Light Artillery Saber, straight out of an old collection. There are faint still markings on the 32" curved bright steel blade. The sword measures 38" overall, and has a brass "D" guard enclosing brass wire bound leather hand grip. Comes complete with a once nickel plated steel scabbard with two hanging rings now oxidized to a dark brown. The blade does not appear
