Here we have a very nice set of four German Steel Army EM NCO's Buckles (Koppelschloen), brought back by a USGI after the war. It was very common for a soldier to specialize in specific items, and belt buckles were definitely a popular choice. All are correctly embossed with the German motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God with us") in a double rope border, which was the same during both world wars. The WWI Buckle design
