They have colorful happy beads at the bottom of the hoop. All the parts are attached to the wire and do not move. At the point where the beads are, the wire is thinner than on the rest of the hoops. Like this it bends easily when opened. The wire at the wearing point is thicker than normal standard earwires, with a thickness of 2mm. Your ears have to be streched in order to wear these.
