This looks very Germanic, but then again may have been made by a German Immigrant here in the United States circa 1850. This has an exotically "Black Forest" style carved wood stock that could pass as being part of some exotic furniture. The Octagonal barrel measures 8 1 2" with a very exotic front sight. The barrel tang is fitted with a rudimentary back sight using a notched "V". The rear of the wood grip shows the
