Emperor Penguin Folk Art Doorstop vintage wirework 8 1/2" tall x 9

8 1/2" tall x 9 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" deep

and a sculptural piece of what I think is likely pink Jadeite

I've found there was a Dutch comic book series in which Jan Stavast was the hero

I'm pretty sure this is a burner head from an old stove

Emperor Penguin Folk Art Doorstop vintage wirework 8 1/2" tall x 9What a charmer this Empire Penguin is, happily flapping his flippers! Fittingly, he's a doorstop, so one could assume he's waving hello and goodbye. Wonderfully graphic, and with some nice aging to the paint, especially on his yellow chest. 9" t x 5 3 4" w x 5 1 2" deep on doorstop. The doorstop piece is glued on rather than nailed. There are a couple of small chips to the wood on the backside of his feet, pretty minor and not visible from the front.
