This helmet is heat lot stamped 204A which indicates the approximate manufacture date of June 1942

with Strategic Air Command establishing the 7th Air Division Headquarters at RAF Mildenhall

Beautifully made in Germany these actual units were supplied to Germany's WWI axis ally Turkey and bear some Turkish markings although all numerals are readable to the western eye

This is a very nice example of a genuine WWII M1 Helmet made by McCord Radiator, with complete Firestone liner with chin strap and helmet net. The U. S. WWII M 1 helmet was only produced from 1941 to 1945. The first production batch resulted with over 323,510 M 1 helmets before the start of the American involvement in the war.
