More about the Scheiers

Cast iron I believe

I have to think this sweet hand-carved corkscrew was inspired by the somewhat iconic modern brass cat shaped corkscrew by Austrian designer Richard Rohac

Sweet Old Tole Painted Buttons Tin with Bird yellow painted wood many batches of home-baked cookiesJust a sweet old hand painted tin, maybe originally a spice tin but which has definitely served its announced purpose I found it full of buttons and will include them if you'd like 'em! It's the cheerful yellow bird that really sold me, but I love lettering to, arching along the curve of the lid. 3 5 8" in diameter; 1 3 8: tall. Some loss and aging to the black paint, all to the good in my opinion. Lid comes off easily and closes tight.
