Antique Bone Alphabet, Complete, in Slide Top Box  make-do game painting on tinI've always got an eye out for beautiful 19th c. carved bone alphabets, which as I understand it were used in school as tools for teaching spelling. And certainly one could make a game of it now to see how many words one can spell with these 26 letters! A complete set, of more or less the same size, which I found box less (as is usually the case) but have placed in a nice old small handmade slide top box that seems a perfect fit and will keep them
