The sword has a 35" blade, leather washer missing. Blade marked on reverse US GKC 186(1?), George K. Charter inspected from 1861 to 1864, reverse is a worn maker mark reading Ames MFG. CO. Chicopee, Mass. The leather grip and double twisted wire are in good condition. Overall honest wear and very nice looking brass with a nice patina and scabbard shows signs of over cleaning but all original. The most
