I'd be willing to bet this was the stand for presenting a prize rooster

and all the more so  lined up on the beach forming a wall between sand and sea

I love the dramatic moodiness of this old (1953) caricature drawing of a young man--or perhaps young woman

Which lends added drama to visions of tower doors! I haven't been able to nail down the G. W Co. in question, but the manner of the type, and of the fob itself, and the Yale & Towne keys on it, say c. early 20th century to me. Found in
