This is a classic German WWI Artillery Officer's sword. The nickeled brass alloy hilt consists of a blucher type design. The blade, although tired, still exhibits a full etched blade. The scabbard Is made of black leather with nickeled brass alloy fittings similar to the hilt. The scabbard and hilt are unit marked K. P. E. on each with a number below each unit stamp.
