I've searched and searched but have not been able to figure out the maker of this bottle stop

and is a good one either hung from one nail or just sitting on the shelf

I assume this was an apothecary tin, holding a mixture of some sort, but am not entirely certain. There is some text written on the inside of the lid, which looks to read 10 cents each followed with an 8. 5 which I might guess meant ounces or grams per unit.
