Very Sweet Old Rooster Potholder mini shakers sold through its co-operative stores

sold through its co-operative stores as well as exported

They are in very good condition and very vivid in color

Earlyish 20th century I would think

There's a warm patina on the brass

Very Sweet Old Rooster Potholder mini shakers sold through its co-operative storesThis sweet one I might exempt from duty as a potholder and just let live on a shelf among a flock of creatures, but it is ready to go should one wish to put it to use. Someone certainly put a lot of effort into it, crocheting the body with what looks to be silk cord, with red felt for its crest and beak and matching red felt lining. And button eyes on either side too. 8 1 8" long measured straight across from beak to back. Very good, clean condition.
