This is a very nice example of the Mauser Model 1871 Infantry Rifle, manufactured by Amberg Arsenal in what was then the kingdom of Bavaria in the German Empire. It is covered with Imperial German inspection and acceptance markings, even on the wood stock. It bears serial number 10058 on the Barrel and Receiver, while the bolt components are marked 92121. Most other parts bear 10058, so most likely this was a rifle
