This is a genuine WW2 issue wartime model wrist compass, as used by Airborne troops on D Day. This example is still fully functional, and still retains the water inside, and is in excellent condition with what we believe to be the original issue leather wrist band. The band is in fantastic unissued condition with some verdigris on the buckle. The compass is clearly marked on the reverse: U. S. ARMY COMPASS, WRIST,
