Longing Little Painted Papier Mache Dog with Spring Tail white chair which I love for its

which I love for its delicate spiky texture

I've seen similarly shaped brushes described both as barber's brushes

but it could possibly be metal under the paint

My photo lighting picks up every tiny imperfection on the silver-plate

Longing Little Painted Papier Mache Dog with Spring Tail white chair which I love for itsThis little papier mache doggy would make a very good companion for the little side glancing man I am listing next, with this pup's spring wire spring tail a perfect complement to the spring wire body of the figure. And the face on this pup really seems to express longing for company! Very sweet, with excellent red painted toenails, too! 2 3 8" t x 1 1 4" w x 2" d including tail. Though unmarked, my guess is this one was made in Japan, c. 1920s 40s.
