1965 Robert Williamson Color Study (Watercolor Plate 3) flour canister Austria''on the front corner

Austria''on the front corner

it's pretty great just as an object

with all over embroidery that reads like tears streaming down his front

a reversal of fortune

1965 Robert Williamson Color Study (Watercolor Plate 3) flour canister Austria''on the front cornerThis one from a group of 1965 color studies by a Robert Williamson, found together in my neck of the woods, which, happily, were very carefully kept over the years: all are gorgeous and in near perfect condition. This one matches exactly a separately listed example done in tempera, but has a very different feel done in watercolor. Certainly done for an art class, and with great precision and care; certainly our Robert earned an A+. 12" x 18",
