This is a wonderful image of a pilot with the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service. It is a 2" x 2 " portrait, which is enclosed in a 7 " x 5 " frame. The frame features Kanji characters in the lower right corner, unfortunately, we have not been able to translate the characters fully. However, the frame seems to have been used as some sort of presentation, possibly for a soldier pilot who was killed in action. The
