I spotted it perched behind the counter at an antique store in Lawrence

Great Old Stocking Cat with Button Eyes and Knotted Tail red spotted There are small chips inI've always been a bit amazed by the prices these old folk art sock stocking cats command, but now having this one in my possession, I'm reluctant to let it go it's fabulous! It's a fairly old one, maybe 1920s 1930s or so?, and a fairly large one, too, with some holes in the stocking testifying to some moths or something nibbling away at it at some point unless it was a hole y stocking to begin with!
