A General Assault Badge, Unknown Maker Variant consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac demonstrating surface scratching and edge(Allgemeine Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered feinzink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch emanating from a rectangular plate, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Unknown Maker #6 as examined in A
