Constructed of dark grey painted magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of GOTT MIT UNS (GOD WITH US), the reverse with a loop and claws emanating from a functional roller, the latter retaining an original olive drab canvas strap, maker marked with the logo of Hermann Aurich, Dresden,
