A First War 218Th Canadian Infantry Battalion Collar Badge Pair Archive number engraved "1831" on the"Edmonton Irish": Pickled brass, unmarked, 25. 5 mm x 28. 8 mm each, intact lugs, one with a pin, very light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Edmonton, Alberta with mobilization headquarters at Victoria under the authority of G. O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed February 17, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel J. K. Cornwall with a strength of 32 officers and 883 other ranks. In England, the
