The filter is manufactured from industrial filament wound fiberglass (bobbin wound) so it is in essence corrosion proof. It is then UV Protected Gel Coated which protects the filter from the environments and algae blooming. The HCF Series features a large 8 inch manway with a simple and secure locking ring.
