CARYOPTERIS GOLD CREST Group 1 Group/Class: New Millennium&tradeLatin Name: Caryopteris x Clandonensis Description: Also known as bluebeard, this stunning summer flowering perennial is an excellent addition to any sunny, protected landscape. Chartreuse leaves contrast against the indigo buds and bloom in the late summer. An excellent source of shelter and food for fall foraging insects and birds. Bluebeard is borderline hardy. Consider using winter protection such as rose huts and leaf compost over the roots area.
