Württemberg, Kingdom. An Order of the Crown, Civil Division Knight’s Cross, c. 1916 Auction stitched onto a field-grey wool(Orden der wrttembergischen Krone Ritterkreuz mit Lwen). Instituted 23 September 1818 by King Wilhelm I. (1892 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms joined through the quadrants by lions rampant, the obverse bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a raised and gilded monogram of King Friedrich I, situated within a red enameled ring bearing a gilt
