Vintage 1930s French Flower Harvesting Basket Royal Copenhagen or kindlingHandwoven in a warm honey colored finish, this long rectangular basket was designed for gathering long stemmed blooms in the fields and carrying them to market. Handles at each end allowed two people to share the load on harvesting days. The scale, proportion, and honest weave reflect Provenal work traditions and make it a striking piece for storing textiles, branches, or market flowers in the home.
